Patrick Edgmon
Founder
of Organic Industries and creator of Chinese Herbwords and the Tincture
Calculator. Patrick's fascination and career began in 1983 with his
first line of medicinal tinctures, study tapes and booklet "HerbWords"
about herbs and how to pronounce their names.
Over this 25-year
span, Patrick has been able to work with some of the most prominent
doctors, researchers and herbalists in the herb industry. This has been
the source of the cutting edge information that makes Chinese Herbwords
and the Tincture Calculator such valuable tools for education and
herbal product production.
In January of 2000 Patrick was able to implement his 15-year dream of an ethanol distillery in the southern Oregon town of Ashland. After 3 years of designing, planning and negotiation with the Tax and Trade Bureau (formerly the A.T.F.), the Oregon Liquor Control Commission and the City of Ashland, Alchemical Solutions was completed and producing 190 proof grape and corn ethanol for the tincture and cosmetic industry.
The full spectrum of Patrick's experience as an engineer, clinical herbalist and software programmer has allowed him to present herbology from a very unique perspective with a complete knowledge of the art, science and production of herbs.
